CBG stands for cannabigerol. CBG acts mostly through indirect interactions with the endocannabinoid system. CBG’s therapeutic effects come from interactions between CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors and the brain. CBG is known to work as a buffer to THC’s psychoactive effects, and can alleviate feelings of paranoia associated with high levels of THC consumption.
